Boys!
ambassadorofi.blogspot.com
Popular Nigerian Singer, Adekunle Gold, have been accused of helping internet
fraudsters popularly known as ‘Yahoo Boys’ before he became a famous musician. A
fan has now said that his wife Simi, has also enjoyed money made by these Yahoo
Boys.
Adekunle Gold was called out by a follower after his wife, Simi banned ‘Yahoo
Boys’ from listening or buying her songs.
Simi, has since been speaking against Cyber Crime following incessant news
about the practice of fraud on Social media.
The Follower called out Adekunle Gold in a post which reads; “Dekunle hope
you’ve heard what your wife said about Yahoo Boys?”
The singer replied as thus; “yessir any problem”.
“Why don’t you let her now that there was a time you use to edit documents
for Yahoo boys for their scam activities”, the follower questioned him thus.
He then responded; “There was a time like that? how come I’m just finding out
myself? wow!”
The follower replied, “Because you never find it wrong then, until the dreams
became different. Just tell your wife, because she had the privilege doesn’t
mean others will, & she should not criticize anyone, let people reap what
they sow, no damn human being is Holy. She should put her mouth on mic and make
music and not to people’s hustle affairs.. Thank u.”
Recall that Adekunle Gold’s wife, the popular singer Simi had taken her fight
against internet fraudsters to the next level.
In a recent live Instagram video, she spoke at length on the negative effect
that the actions of Yahoo boys has caused on hard-working Nigerians, who have
been rejected as a result of bad image.
In her cover of Kizz Daniel’s viral music challenge, Simi called out Yahoo
boys. A fan however told her to leave Yahoo boys alone because they are the
major buyers of her music and the ones who watch her videos on Youtube.
Simi then went on to give a response that internet fraudsters (Yahoo Boys)
should desist from buying her CDs as she cant afford to be held back from
criticizing such act.
In the Instagram video, She said that a lot of Nigerians have suffered from
the effects of these Yahoo Boys, as they are refused international opportunities
just because they are Nigerians.
Simi then went on to stress that they do not need to patronise her or listen
to her music as she was only being non sentimental. She revealed that she knows
people who are currently fraudsters, with some others contemplating to become
one.
